INTRODUCTION
Indonesia and the United States are expanding their collaboration to accelerate the former’s renewable energy transition and delivery of net zero carbon emissions.
H.E Luhut B. Pandjaitan, Coordinating Minister for Maritime and Investment Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, and The Honorable John Kerry, Special Presidential Envoy for Climate of the United States of America co-hosted the Tri Hita Karana (THK) Climate Forum on “Aligning for Climate Action on Road to Net Zero Carbon Emission” on Wednesday, June 23rd, 2021.
This forum builds on the US-led Biden Leaders’ Summit on Climate held in April 2021, which brought together 40 world leaders to galvanize efforts by the major economies to tackle the climate crisis. Since then, Indonesia and the United States have established four sectoral task forces with representation from government, technical experts and private sector investors to develop concrete and deliverable outcomes in support of the transition to a low-carbon economy.
This high-profile event clearly underlines the sincere intention to limit global warming to 1.5C by actively and urgently engaging through green and blended finance, technology and capacity building.
The THK Climate Forum was attended by more than 350 participants from government, civil society and the private sector across 17 countries.

Global Blended Finance and Innovation Institute (BFI) on “Natural Capital Carbon Communities (NCCC) Market Place”
Development of a new multilateral BFI inviting US, EU, China, et al global partners to join. NCCC alliance and Market Place envision regional climate ambition with inclusive and innovative financing toward a just net zero transition in the region.
