Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa was officially inaugurated by President Prabowo Subianto as Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia under the Merah Putih Cabinet in the Prabowo Subianto Presidential on September 8, 2025
He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), and subsequently obtained a Master of Science (MSc) and a Doctoral degree in Economics from Purdue University, Indiana, United States. He was appointed as Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) pursuant to Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia No. 58/M of 2020, dated September 3, 2020.
Prior to his appointment as Chairman of the LPS Board of Commissioners, he held several strategic positions in the Indonesian government. These include Deputy for Coordinating Maritime Sovereignty and Energy at the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime and Investment Affairs (May 2018 – September 2020); Special Advisor for Economic Affairs to the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs (July 2016 – May 2018); Special Advisor for Economic Affairs to the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (November 2015 – July 2016); and Deputy III for Strategic Issues Management at the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Indonesia (April 2015 – September 2015). He also served as Special Advisor for Economic Affairs to the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs (2010 – 2014), and was a member of the National Economic Committee during the same period. In addition, he has served as Deputy Chairperson of the Debottlenecking Task Force, also known as “Working Group IV”, under the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs since June 2016, as well as a member of the Advisory Council of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry since 2016, and a member of the Indonesia Economic Forum since 2015.
Before entering public service, he began his professional career as a Field Engineer at Schlumberger Overseas SA (1989 – 1994). He then moved into the financial and research sector, serving as Senior Economist at Danareksa Research Institute (October 2000 – July 2005), Chief Economist at the same institution (July 2005 – March 2013), and President Director of PT Danareksa Securities (April 2006 – October 2008). He later served as a Member of the Board of Directors of PT Danareksa (Persero) from March 2013 to April 2015.
Various military training, both domestic and foreign, including in United Kingdom with SAS, in West Germany with GSG-9 and in the USA with various army special forces units at Fort Bragg and Fort Benning and the US Army John F Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School; Master’s in Public Administration, George Washington University. Spent most of military career in the Kopassus (Army Special Forces); first commander of the Kopassus 81st anti-terrorist detachment; 1974, led Indonesia’s Garuda contingent serving under United Nations in Port Suez, Egypt; 1999, ended military service as Commander of the Army’s Education and Training with the rank of Lieutenant General in 1999; 2000, received the rank of Honorary General. Former: Ambassador to Singapore; Minister for Industry and Trade; Presidential Chief of Staff; Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs. 2004, co-founded Toba Sejahtera Group, which listed on the stock exchange in 2012; it has a wide array of business activities, including energy, mining, coal, oil and gas, plantation and electricity. Currently, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment of Indonesia.
Vice-Minister Nezar Patria is known as a journalist, activist, and poet. Graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy, Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta (1997) and a Master of History of International Relations from the London School of Economics (LSE), University of London, England (2007). In addition, he also received an M.B.A. from the School of Business and Management-SBM ITB Bandung in 2022 (2022) and an Asean M.B.A (Graduate School of Business-GSB, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang) – (2022). Nezar Patria served as Special Staff V for Communications of the Indonesian Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (2022-2023). He was a journalist for Tempo (1999-2008), founder of the online news portal Viva.co.id (2008-2014), deputy editor-in-chief at CNN Indonesia Digital (2014-2015) and Editor-in-Chief of The Jakarta Post (2015-2020). In addition, Nezar Patria served as a Member of the Press Council for the period March 2016-June 2019. He once led a journalist organization as General Chair of the Alliance of Independent Journalists (AJI) Indonesia for the period 2008-2011.
Prof. Stella Christie is Vice Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia. As a signal of commitment to his science and technology-centered platform, President Prabowo Subianto nominated Prof. Christie to the Cabinet due to her international academic reputation—an unusual move in the Indonesian politics.
In her academic career, Prof. Christie (B.A. Harvard ’04; Ph.D. Northwestern ’10) is a
leading cognitive scientist. She is tenured professor at Tsinghua University; was previously tenured associate professor at Swarthmore College, a Visiting Scholar at Stanford University and postdoctoral fellow at the University of British Columbia. Her research focuses on cognitive development, analogical reasoning, and learning sciences across humans, animals, and Artificial Intelligence. In 2024, she was elected to the Governing Board of Cognitive Science Society.
Prof. Christie is one of the most dynamic and popular members of the Cabinet. In her first eight months in office, she has nearly doubled the research budget of her Ministry. She leads the Garuda High Schools program–building twenty IB high schools in the remotest corners of Indonesia, from Aceh to Papua, opening access to world class education to all strata of the Indonesian society. This is one of President Prabowo Subianto’s eight national priority programs.
Nani is a highly accomplished professional with a strong background in environmental and forestry management. With a focus on critical issues such as marine litter, waste management, carbon pricing, social forestry, and climate change, she has dedicated her career to promoting sustainable practices and driving positive change in Indonesia.
She holds a Doctor Rerum Naturalium degree in Marine Remote Sensing from the University of Rostock, Germany (2007); a Master of Science degree from the University of Dundee, UK (2003); and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Natural Sciences from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Indonesia (1992).
With over two decades of experience, Nani has held various key positions throughout her career. Currently serving as the Deputy Minister for Environment and Forestry Managements in the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime and Investment Affairs, Republic of Indonesia, she plays a crucial role in formulating and implementing policies related to environmental and forestry management. Her leadership has been instrumental in tackling pressing environmental challenges and finding innovative solutions.
Dr. Eric Daniel Tenda is a distinguished internal medicine specialist and interventional pulmonologist, currently serving on the faculty of the Department of Internal Medicine at Universitas Indonesia (UI) in Jakarta, Indonesia.
With a Ph.D. in Interventional Pulmonology from Imperial College London and significant expertise in artificial intelligence and digital health applied to respiratory medicine, Dr. Tenda bridges clinical practice, research and emerging technology.
His research spans key areas including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), lung cancer, quantitative CT imaging, bronchoscopy, and AI-driven decision support in respiratory care.
Recognised as a thought-leader in his field, he contributes extensively to peer-reviewed publications and leads the AI & Digital Health Research Group at UI’s Indonesian Medical Education and Research Institute (IMERI).
Dr. Tenda is committed to advancing respiratory health in Indonesia and beyond by integrating high-impact clinical interventions with technological innovation and academic excellence.
Dr. A. Rita Tisiana Dwi Kuswardani is currently serving as the Head of the Center of Marine and Fisheries Socio-Economics at the KKP, a role she has held since 2023.
She also holds concurrent positions as a Mid-Level Marine & Coastal Expert (since 2022) and Head of the Delivery Unit for the Minister (since 2021) within the Ministry.
Dr. Kuswardani brings extensive research and leadership experience spanning over two decades. Before her current roles, she served as the Individual Specialist for Ocean Climate at the IOC UNESCO Sub‑Commission for the Western Pacific in Bangkok (2019), Head of the Climate Changes Policy Research Group (2015-2018), Project Management Officer for the Indonesia–China Center for Ocean and Climate (2015-2017), and earlier held senior researcher and research-planning leadership positions at the Ministry (2002-2021).
Her academic credentials include a Doctor of Science in Physical Oceanography from the Ocean University of China (2013), a Master’s in Spatial Information Technology from the Institut Teknologi Bandung (2002), and a Bachelor’s in Mathematics and Natural Sciences (majoring in Oceanography) also from ITB (1996).
With this blend of high-level policy, research, and technical expertise in marine and coastal sciences, Dr. Kuswardani is positioned at the forefront of socio‐economic and climate-related initiatives in Indonesia’s marine and fisheries sectors.
Ambassador Tantowi Yahya currently serves as the President of the United in Diversity Foundation, President Commissioner of Kura Kura Bali, and Head of Foundation of ACS Bali School. Through his leadership, Kura Kura Bali is being developed into a sustainable, world-class integrated tourism hub — encompassing cultural, technological, hospitality, medical, leisure, marine, and educational sectors — rooted in the harmony of Tri Hita Karana and the beauty of the Bali landscape.
He previously served as Ambassador of Indonesia to New Zealand, Samoa, and Tonga, and was later appointed Roving Ambassador for the Asia Pacific. A multifaceted public figure, Ambassador Yahya is also a businessman, artist, and former parliament member, well-known as a TV presenter, master of ceremony, music producer, and country singer.
As a television host, he fronted popular programs including Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? and received five consecutive Panasonic Awards. As a country singer, he represented Indonesia at the CMA Country Music Festival in Nashville, USA. His long-standing commitment to social causes includes founding and leading the Indonesian-American Friendship Association from 2004 to 2008
Have more than 10 years of experience in infrastructure and project finance with extensive exposure in Public Private Partnership, having successfully closed the Umbulan PPP Water Supply Project, the most complex PPP structure involving more than 70 stakeholders’ commitment, and the 1st PPP project with Viability Gap Fund (VGF) Support from the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia.
Currently manage some PPP portfolio projects across infrastructure sectors (water, hospital, airport, railways, toll roads) as Project Director, I also lead the Centre of Competence Division, the Division which consists of group of experts who involve in company’s strategic movement, financing & investment decision, loan & equity monitoring, advisory, and infrastructure project development. Delano also have professional exposure as lawyer/advocate. I led the establishment of PPP regulations in Indonesia, involved in many infrastructure sector Laws enactment (Railway, Airport, Aviation, Electricity, Waste), and also involved in many public policies in infrastructure.
James leads lending, advisory and analytic operations on digital economy issues — including digital public infrastructure, data governance, PPPs and investment climate reform — spanning East Asia & Pacific and other regions. James brings legal, regulatory and development-finance expertise to the challenge of enabling inclusive digital ecosystems and AI-enabled services.
Purcell has more than 15 years’ experience in the public and private sectors leading global sustainability initiatives for multi-national corporations and the United Nations. Patricia is currently Senior Adviser to the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)’s Nature, Climate and Energy portfolio, which supports over 800 projects across 140 countries in partnership with the Global Environment Facility (GEF), Green Climate Fund and Adaptation Fund, among others. Prior to joining UNDP, Patricia was the Co-founder and Chair of the OECD Expert Group on Investing in the SDGs and served as the Senior Strategic Advisor and Head of Partnerships to the UN Global Compact in New York. Previously, Patricia served as the Senior Adviser to the UN Under Secretary-General and Executive Director of UN-Habitat, based in their Nairobi headquarters. Before joining the UN, Patricia was the founding Director of Commercial Sustainability for London-based Willis Group, a global insurance broker.
Since August 2025, Ms. Ferrer Olivella has been serving as the UNDP Resident Representative in Indonesia, leading the organization’s partnership with the Government and people of Indonesia to advance sustainable human development.
She brings over 25 years of global experience with the United Nations across four continents. Before her current role, she was UNDP Resident Representative in Colombia and in Jordan. She also served as Regional Advisor for Latin America and the Caribbean and Asia and the Pacific at UNDOCO in New York, a Senior Programme Advisor with the MDG Achievement Fund covering 16 countries in Africa, the Governance Team Leader and Assistant Resident Representative in Cambodia, and a Human Rights Specialist. She began her UN career as a UN Volunteer in 1999.
Ms. Ferrer Olivella holds a Master’s degree in Human Rights and Democratization from the European Inter-University Centre for Human Rights and Democratization, and a Master’s in Political Science and Public Administration. She speaks English, French, Spanish, Catalan, and Italian.
Craig Cogut has spent a career building successful investment businesses. Mr. Cogut founded Pegasus, a private equity fund, in 1995 and serves as its Chairman and CEO, and is a member of the management committee and the investment committee. Through Mr. Cogut’s leadership, Pegasus has focused on sectors influenced by global resource scarcity and the need to combat climate change, as well as on the growth in demands globally for human health and wellness, leading to Pegasus becoming the first U.S. private equity fund manager to be accredited by the Green Climate Fund. In 1990 Mr. Cogut co-founded and was one of the original partners at Apollo Advisors L.P., a position he held for six years preceding the creation of Pegasus. Mr. Cogut is currently Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of PanTheryx. In addition, Mr. Cogut has been an active philanthropist in the fields of improving education, building civil society and championing environmental and health issues. Mr. Cogut currently serves as Chairman of the finance advisory board of the Global Alliance for a Sustainable Planet, a non-profit focused on leveraging private finance for public good in order to achieve sustainable development goals. Mr. Cogut is an alumnus of Brown University and Harvard Law School.
Gordon Cheng has over 25 years of experience in investments, executive management, and M&A relating to clean energy, high technology, natural resources, conservation and media areas. Mr. Cheng for the past ten years has been the CEO and Partner of an exclusive joint venture (CPGC) with film maker and ocean conservationist James Cameron, with the mission to create the best visual contents using most advanced 3D and AI related technologies, including for the oceans. The technologies have been applied in multiple block buster productions, with combined box office over USD13 billion. Mr.Cheng also serves as a board member of CMOC, a world leader in mining of minerals critical for the green economy and has worked closely with the management team to drive to attain the highest ESG standards in the industry. Additionally, Mr. Cheng has long been active in various global environmental and endangered species protection efforts, including in Africa. Recently, Mr. Cheng has become the Vice Chairman of BIOHK, an NGO advocating for global collaboration of biotechnologies, by bringing together top scientists and research institutions. Mr. Cheng previously held senior positions at Deutsche Bank, Credit Suisse and JP Morgan.

Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno is a prominent Indonesian businessman and politician, actively involved in the country’s business communities. He served as the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia during the 2020–2024 term.
Since 2005, Sandiaga has empowered young entrepreneurs by supporting small and medium enterprises with microloans and leading several notable associations and foundations. In 2016, he founded OK OCE, a social movement focused on job creation through entrepreneurship training and mentoring.
Sandiaga joined the Gerindra Party in 2015 as a Deputy Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, bringing significant momentum to the party. He served as Jakarta’s Deputy Governor in 2017, though resigned in 2018 to run as Prabowo Subianto’s Vice Presidential candidate in the 2019 election. Bradley is a leader in sustainable finance and the SDGs. He helped drive sustainable investment initiatives for the United Nations and served as the inaugural director of UNDP Global Centre on Tech, Innovation and Sustainability where he worked with start-ups and venture funds to scale sustainable technologies around the world. Previously, he established the UN’s first venture incubator and impact fund. And founded the world’s first national SDG innovation lab, which then catalyzed a global network of 100+ innovation labs for the UN. The California native holds a BA (honours) and a master’s degree in philosophy from Stanford University.
Donny Eryastha is the Head of Public Policy for Indonesia and ASEAN Affairs at Amazon Web Services (AWS). Prior to AWS, he has also lead policy functions at a number of multinational tech companies in the region. Donny has served at international organizations as well as at the Indonesian government. He earned his masters in public administration from Harvard University, and bachelor in Economics from the University of Indonesia.
Mr. Karan Dhanwani is a sustainability leader working at the intersection of strategy, climate finance, and digital transformation across Southeast Asia and emerging markets. As a Director at PwC, he advises governments, financial institutions, and corporations on decarbonisation strategies, sustainability business transformation, and unlocking climate finance at scale. In the past year, he has led PwC’s efforts to become a delivery partner to the Green Climate Fund, accelerating access to climate finance for developing countries. He has also built and deepened strategic partnerships with institutions like the UNDP, UNCDF, the Climate Policy Initiative, and the Singapore Green Finance Centre, with a shared goal of enabling financial institutions to scale sustainable finance. Earlier, he has helped design and develop Project NovA!, an AI utility platform developed in partnership with the Monetary Authority of Singapore, to derive insights from ESG data to enable the growth of sustainable finance through technology and AI. He also played a founding role in Proxtera, a digital marketplace backed by MAS and IMDA, built to empower SMEs by improving access to trade and finance across emerging markets.
Kurt combines Economics and Information Management in developing innovative it-services and businesses. He holds a PhD in Business Economics and did combined graduate studies at the University of Copenhagen, University of Toronto and UC Berkeley. He co-founded Partisia, Energiauktion.dk and Sepior, and functions as CEO of Partisia alongside a part time position as Associate Professor at University of Copenhagen.

She worked with Sugiri at Bank Bali in 1985 and joined IT company Sigma Cipta Caraka in 1989. She cofounded Indonet, the first internet service provider in Indonesia, in 1994. She and other cofounders sold their stakes in 2023.

With a strong background in business development and acquisitions, she focuses on aligning hyperscale infrastructure investments with sustainability and growth in emerging markets. Her role places her at the intersection of digital infrastructure, cross-border capital flows and decarbonisation of ICT.
Andre Uhl is a scholar of digital culture with primary expertise in the aesthetics and governance of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and big data. With a background bridging the digital humanities, the arts, and tech policy, Dr. Uhl’s research examines the epistemic infrastructures that constitute, legitimize, and govern algorithmic co-creation practices. At IFK, Dr. Uhl teaches experimental studio courses on contemporary critical thought, based on which he mentors students from a wide range of disciplinary backgrounds on the productive use of generative AI tools in the classroom. His manuscript in progress, Extended Intelligence: Aesthetics and Governance of AI, discusses the aesthetic configurations of new discursive spaces that rethink and redraw the role of collective imagination in the age of AI.
Before joining IFK, Dr. Uhl received his PhD from Harvard University’s Department of Art, Film and Visual Studies (formerly known as the Department of Visual and Environmental Studies) with a Secondary Field in Science, Technology, and Society. He also holds an MFA in New Media from Tokyo University of the Arts, and a BA in Visual Studies from Free University Berlin. Previously, Dr. Uhl has held research positions at the MIT Media Lab and Harvard University’s Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society, and engaged in tech policy advocacy, for example through the IEEE Standards Association, the United Nations Coalition for Digital Environmental Sustainability, and the East West Center. His contributions have been recognized with fellowships at the Aspen Institute Tech Policy Hub, the MIT Dalai Lama Center for Ethics and Transformative Values, the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and the German Academic Scholarship Foundation, amongst others.
Adebayo Adekola is a seasoned International Development Leader with 20 years of experience across financial services, public health consulting, non-profits, and the UN system. As Head of Innovation Portfolios and Governance at UNICEF Office of Innovation, he oversees strategic innovation portfolios in climate, health, humanitarian action, and gender/youth development. Previously, he managed public health emergency strategies and systems strengthening at UNICEF, leading pandemic preparedness initiatives & fund. Prior, Adebayo worked with not-for-profits in the Netherlands and as an Advisor for USAID and Global Fund projects covering HIV, TB, Malaria and Reproductive Health.
Dr. Biju Jacob is an experienced leader in innovation strategy, research infrastructure and startup advisory with a decade of experience in early-stage discovery, clinical research, and regulatory affairs. Academically trained as a medical geneticist and a serial entrepreneur by passion, he has advised 100+ biomedical/healthcare startups in conceptualizing, building, and running new ventures. He is currently Lead Advisor for Innovation at the Global Health Security Fund, a Geneva-based nonprofit that supports impact investment in global health security innovation. He was previously Country Director for India with the United Nations Joint Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) Health Innovation and Investment Exchange, Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the Narayana Hrudayalaya Mazumdar Shaw Cancer Center, and Group Head for Clinical Research & Healthcare Innovations at Narayana Health. He is a recipient of the BIRAC Innovation 2024 Award, ISBA National Award for Entrepreneurship 2010, and CV Raman Young Scientist Award 2007. He holds a PhD in Human/Medical Genetics and an MS in Biotechnology from Bangalore University.
Cokorda Dewi is Senior Advisor and Chief Executive Lead at the United in Diversity Foundation, with 15+ years of experience facilitating multi-stakeholder transformation. Formerly Advisor to Indonesia’s Ministers of Trade and Tourism, she helped establish the Creative Economy Agency and continues to champion collaboration across government, business, and civil society for sustainable development. Her areas of expertise include multi-stakeholder collaboration, sustainable development, and the creative economy, with a particular interest in U Theory–based leadership. She is also dedicated to guiding practices in self-awareness and mindfulness.
Mahboob Mahmood is the Founder and CEO of Knowledge Platform. In addition to setting overall strategy and direction, he plays a leading role in new learning initiatives and developing innovative learning solutions. He has led the company in its design and deployment of Reusable Learning Objects, Scenario-Based Learning and Interactive Simulations and is now leading the company’s efforts in the area of Adaptive Learning Solutions for the schools sector. He has also acted as lead designer for online courses as well as blended learning courses in Compliance, Corporate Governance, Entrepreneurship, Intellectual Property Management and Risk Management. Formerly a partner at the international law firm of Sidley & Austin, Mahboob spent 11 years handling corporate finance transactions in the firm’s New York office, before establishing the firm’s Singapore office in 1997. Mahboob has broad industry experience and has been lead counsel for many complex transactions in the high-tech, financial services, media, utilities and transportation sectors. He has worked with major clients in implementing their business strategies in the United States and many countries of Asia and has handled a number of privatization assignments for The World Bank in Asia and the Middle East. Mahboob received his J.D. from Columbia Law School in 1986, his M.A. in Political Science from The Johns Hopkins University in 1987 and B.A. in Politics from Princeton University in 1981. He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1987. Mahboob is Member of the Board of Trustees of the Institute of International Education. He has served as Adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurship at INSEAD, where he has designed and taught an MBA program on social entrepreneurship and has developed case studies and led research on entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship and philanthropy.
Nirarta “Koni” Samadhi is the country director of WRI Indonesia. Formerly known as Deputy Minister of Indonesia’s Unit for Development Monitoring and Oversight (UKP4), he and WRI have worked together over many years, and he joins WRI Indonesia at a time when its work in the forest, land use, and governance sectors is expanding.
While at UKP4, Koni played a leading role in designing policies such as Indonesia’s groundbreaking forest moratorium, establishing Indonesia’s new REDD+ agency (BP REDD+), and driving the OneMap Initiative to harmonize Indonesia’s land use planning. Koni previously served as chair of the Working Group on Moratorium Monitoring, was part of the Indonesia REDD+ Task Force, and worked with the UNDP as a strategic planning advisor and head of Papua Accelerated Development (PADU) Advance Team.
During his tenure at UKP4, Koni observed that WRI was consistent in contributing significant work to improve environmental management, and he would like to expand and tailor the organization’s contribution for the people of Indonesia. Through WRI Indonesia, he plans to work with all stakeholders and promote innovations to help ensure that the new administration, as well as sub-national governments, will deliver sustainable development programs.
Paul has more than 32 years of professional experiences and has been involved in various sectors, such as transportation and energy-related air pollution, municipality solid waste, renewable energy and climate change. He has been involved in policy development, advocacy, advisory, and investment on carbon pricing and carbon market, renewable energy and energy efficiency, industrial decarbonisation.
He has provided inputs to government institutions (among others Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Bappenas, etc), MDBs and international organizations (ADB, World Bank, UNDP, etc), and private sector. Currently he has been assigned as Head of Secretariat of JETP Indonesia. His key expertise is centred around climate change, carbon market and carbon pricing, renewable energy and low carbon investment/financing.
Peng is the Director of Social Innovation at the Bayer Foundation, where she leads the foundation’s strategy, partnerships, and initiatives to drive transformative social innovation, with a strong focus on the Asia-Pacific region. With a unique background as both a scientist in infectious diseases and a management consultant, Peng brings a multidisciplinary approach to advancing breakthrough science and scaling impactful solutions.
Her work centers on catalyzing external innovation and deploying strategic investments to improve access to health and food security through novel business models. Peng is a passionate advocate for leveraging science and entrepreneurship to address some of the world’s most pressing challenges at the intersection of health, nutrition, and climate.
Prior to her current role, Peng held positions in Corporate Innovation and Business Consulting at Bayer AG, where she worked on global innovation strategy and ecosystem engagement. She is also an experienced speaker at international forums and conferences, and a regular contributor to thought leadership publications on social impact, innovation ecosystems, and inclusive growth.

As CEO of Unilever (2009-2019), he demonstrated that a long-term, multi-stakeholder model goes hand-in-hand with excellent financial performance. Paul was a member of the UN Secretary General’s High-Level Panel which developed the Sustainable Development Goals and which he continues to champion, working with global organizations and across industry to advance the 2030 development agenda.
Paul’s new book, “Net Positive”, is a call to arms to courageous business leaders, setting out how to build net positive companies which profit by fixing the world’s problems rather than creating them. He Chairs IMAGINE, a social venture dedicated to systems change, and Saïd Business School, and he is Vice-Chair of the UN Global Compact as well as a B Team Leader. Paul is Honorary Chair of the International Chamber of Commerce, which he led for two years.
Shobi Lawalata is a Senior Facilitator and the Director of Learning and Academic programs at United in Diversity Foundation (UID); and seconded as the Academic Director of Tsinghua Southeast Asia Center. Driven by a deep awe of our complex living world and a passion to co-create a more equitable, sustainable, and compassionate future, Shobi has been working on enabling societal transformation through UID and TSEA learning programs.
Shobi has worked with various governmental, civil society, and business institutions to facilitate large-scale transformation processes through leadership and systemic innovations. She leads UID’s BEKAL Pemimpin program, which brings together Indonesia’s tri-sector emerging environmental leaders for system leadership capacity building; as well as TSEA’s inaugural offering Happy Digital X: Cities, Systems, Products, and Services which educates next-generation urban development actors to utilize technology and cross-sector collaboration for happier and more sustainable future cities.
Shobi earned her doctoral degree in Integrative Biology from University of California, Berkeley in 2011, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2004 from University of Indonesia. She is an alumna of IDEAS Indonesia, a UID-MIT Sloan School of Management Executive Leadership program for leading collective innovation in complex systems, and Presencing Institute’s Ecosystem Leadership Program.
Sir Gordon Duff was Principal of St Hilda’s College, Oxford (2014-2021), Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University of Oxford, Board member of Oxford’s Medical Sciences Division, and is an Honorary Fellow of both St Peter’s and St Hilda’s Colleges in Oxford. He is currently a Board member of the UK Foundation for Science and Technology, and UBC Vancouver’s Translational Medicine Board. He is an Honorary Senior Research Fellow of NDORMS (Oxford Medical School), Chair of the Climax Steering Group for Therapeutic Innovation, and Chair of the International SAB of Silence Therapeutics (London, New York, Berlin). He was a recipient of the British Pharmacological Society Sir James Black award for the ‘Original discovery of TNF as a drug target in Human Arthritis, and has published around 400 research articles, government reports, and more than 40 biotech patents. He was Knighted for services to Public Health in 2006/7 New Year’s Honours, and in 2014 was listed in the Science Council’s ‘Top 100 working scientists in the UK’. Sir Gordon Duff currently serves as the Honorary President of United in Diversity Foundation.

His academic view brings rigorous insight into how AI systems can be structured, measured and governed, especially in resource-constrained infrastructure settings.
